Reward Gateway makes first senior hire since £140 million investment

September 18, 2015

Global leader in employee engagement Reward Gateway is pleased to announce the appointment of Debra Corey as Group Reward Director, effective from 1st October 2015.

Corey brings to Reward Gateway more than 30 years of experience in benefits, compensation, performance management, global mobility and recognition. During her career she has held senior level reward roles at well-known global organisations such as Gap Inc., Honeywell and Quintiles, and most recently, Merlin Entertainment Group and Page Group, where she introduced Reward Gateway’s SmartHub® technology. In 2012, Corey was selected Employee Benefits Magazine’s Professional of the Year as ‘the individual who has made their mark on the industry’, and described as a ‘much admired, charismatic and highly respected figure in the rewards/HR world.’

Debra is the first senior hire made by Reward Gateway since the business announced a £140m investment by Great Hill Partners in July. She will be responsible for developing the business’s own reward strategy, advising on product development and leading internal training and external knowledge sharing with clients. Corey’s role has a global remit and will be based between London and Boston.

Debra said, “I’ve known Reward Gateway for a number of years and have really seen the business develop into a serious strategy partner to the reward and HR community. I love the business’s fresh, forward-thinking approach and the passion that its people bring to their work. I was looking for a new challenge and jumped at the chance to be part of and contribute to the fantastic work that Glenn and the team are doing. ”

Glenn Elliott, Reward Gateway Founder and CEO added, “We’re really excited to welcome Debra to our team. She brings deep reward experience that will help us to take Reward Gateway into its next phase as a global leader and HR partner.”

Reward Gateway’s technology allows businesses to better connect with their employees. Through its SmartHub® technology, employees have access to one employer branded platform where they can view employee communications, rewards and recognition tools and benefits and discounts. Clients include IBM, American Express, Diageo, Heineken, McDonalds, Bloomberg, Unilever, DHL, Bayer, AT&T, Yahoo!, AOL and Groupon.

Debra’s new book “Effective HR Communication : A Framework for Communicating HR Programmes with Impact” will be published by Kogan Page in March 2016.
